Dear Doug and Charlotte:

I hope you've all had a chance to recover. I'm still answering phone calls and returning e-mails. You'll be happy to know that the vast majority of the correspondence I receive is extremely positive in nature. You should take great pride in the fact that we run a great meet, thanks to your efforts.

Every year, the AAU Junior Olympic Track & Field meet increases in attendance. With this increase, there are greater demands on you, the official. Your professionalism, knowledge and keen ability to interact with kids create an atmosphere that make OUR track meet the premiere youth meet in the United States.

I sincerely appreciate you taking the time to assist us in making this meet what it is today. Thanks for the long hours and meticulous attention to detail. I really could not do it without you. I'm looking forward to Detroit in 2003, and hope to see you there.
